Letter From The President
Dear NABJ Family,
Welcome to the new NABJ Journal Online.
As part of changing the way NABJ delivers its services to its members, we determined we wanted to better reflect the constant changes in our industry.
One way to do that is to work on how we communicate with our membership.
For years, NABJ’s publications have evolved from a monthly printed Update on the news and notes from our association to the glossy quarterly Journal, a publication geared toward more issues-oriented journalism and a marketing showcase for NABJ.
With the combinations of increased expenses for printing, duplication and distribution, NABJ over the years have presented sporadic publications for the membership. To that end, we are combining the best portions of the Update and Journal to provide a complete NABJ picture.
NABJ Journal Online will become a destination to be informed about the latest news and features of our membership. This site will also provide a vehicle where members can practice their craft by producing high-quality journalism.
I am excited that our editor, Marlon A. Walker of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, has taken on the challenge of setting the tone and agenda for this new endeavor.
As in the past, we are looking for the membership to help provide content and feedback to keep us all informed on what is happening in our beloved organization, on all levels.
Onward,
Gregory Lee Jr.
NABJ President
